Hi folks,
I heard Haynes manuals were good, and I'm considering getting the Suzuki GS500 twins 89-08. Can anyone recommend it? Alternatively, I hear there's a scanned pdf about (though I can't find it) which I wouldn't mind looking over to check for myself if anyone has a copy to post or can find a link -- I'll be buying printed book at the end of the day though since I'd like to have it next to me while I work.

Feel free to PM it to save troubles.

Cheers!

Ummm I have a haynes manual its alright i guess, I only really use it for specs more than any thing. which ends up in my note book..... Its not needed if you got a good working knowledge of bikes, but it makes finding specs easy. I think all the pdf's were taken down a while ago.

The owner and proprietor of this website does not condone the posting or downloading of copywrited materials. It is my understanding that many PDF versions have been posted here and all posts containing the attachments or links to the files have been removed.

It is not expensive and it is handy to have as it often provides better explanation and visual cues than the actual shop manual.

I have a Haynes. I use it along with the Clymer... the diagrams and pictures are better than the Clymer. So when I'm not sure which piece they're talking about in the Clymer, I open the Haynes and it's pictured there perfectly.

I use both. They are useful in diff ways. If you plan on doing ALOT of work on the bike its worth it.

I for example did the entire top end with those instructions and a little adidasguy supervision
