everyone has it but shipping for the parts is more than the parts them self

May be a good time to walk into a Suzuki dealership.

I find with this particular setup, the lunchbox filter can be suspect for a leak there as well... Unlike the stock airbox which doesn't have much room to incorrectly fit without noticing, the lunchbox filter is pretty free as it is only held up by the carb connection.  Ensure you have a solid fit and connection there.  By your symptoms, it definitely sounds like you have an air leak...  Run the bike, and spray WD40 at every possible air entry point and listen for a change in rpm.  Worst case scenario is a faulty headgasket - but I'd sure scour the grand earth bubble of that bike to find a leak elsewhere before I'd resort to replacing a head gasket (most especially so if you didn't have these issues before the mixture changes).

When doing the wd40 test is it best to do this once it warmed up and at the hanging idle? Also so far the carb boot orings have been changed but what I noticed on the flanges on the carb boots is that they are bent inward slightly but when I tighten it down they flex back..

So i started the bike today after a ride home from school i did the wd40 check and sparyed everything on the carbs    while the rpms were hanging at 4500. After contiounous spraying no change at all. The bike rides really nice all the way to redline and the plugs are no turning more brown from being white a couple days okay. The bike starts fine with chock but once its warm it acts up with occasionaly backfire. Im going to replace the small oring on the top of carb today and maybe work with floats a little.
