Hi to all. I just picked up a 1989 GS500 with 6200 miles for 800. I have not had a bike for a while now and have always had a warm spot for small displacement bikes. So far there have been some...lets say kickups (choke was sticking like crazy, front rubber tank isolator was replaced with rag by previous owner, missing bolts for tank and grommets for side plastics..oh and zip ties for almost anything that required a hose clamp.)

I have so far fixed the chock issue which then led me to find a issue with the airbox not actually being hooked up to the carb intakes that got sorted fast though, it was ideling up to about 3400 or so after warming up with out the chock on so I figured it was an air leak..glad it was just a lose boot. oh and holly hell I have had dirt bikes with firmer suspension. I am planing a new school cafe/street fighter on the cheapppppp. Any ideas are input are welcome, will hopefully have a 1996 katana 600 parts bike to get things off..front end with gs stem pressed in?
