Shipping a gs500e frame?

Has anyone shipped one of these frames recently? And if so how much did it cost, who did you go through, and how did you package it.

ok,If you dont need it in say a week, try this, we have alot of members here that may MAY, be able to help out.   First Where are you? City/state, where is the Frame comeing from City/state.   then Ask who the folks are between these two points.   I and many like me on other boards have done relays for bike and car/truck parts.  some folks May be willing to take a weekend and make a drive to meet up others on the board to see the face and shake the hands of their GS brothers and sisters and might be willing to toss the frame in the trunk,truckbed,roofrack,or trailer to meet the next person in the chain.  i know of one guy whom received a whole motorcycle and parts to fix it from halfway across the country in 5 hand off's from such a communal pull. (the person was hit and hospitalized for 4 months by an unlicensed uninsured undocumented....well alot of UN's in the list) the bike/parts got handed off one to the other and a local friend did the wrench work while another did the paint, and there was a fresh rebuilt bike waiting for him when he came home.   Im not saying thats gonna happen, but its worth a try.

Know what, i didnt even bother to ask country/state/city   as i had forgoten that not all our members live in one country. but the idea still applies

ok, so who in the GS community lives in Illinois that would be willing to pack mule to state line?  then who lives in Missouri or Iowa that could meet up with Illinois handOff? Then the next ajoinning states?  C'mon folks, moving parts and helping friends Via pony express is nothing new. i live in south florida so i cant help a whole lot on this one.   keep in mind, 2 or more folks in one state can hand off across a single state if needed.  for me to drive from Ft Lauderdale to pensacola takes about 10hrs one way but if i handed off to someone in Orlando thats 3 hrs one way, then that person hands off to Gainesville, then tallahassee then pensacola to across to Alabama it wouldnt be that hard or expensive on any single person.
