Strange engine noise - with video

So I think I may have a new engine noise at & slightly above idle (feels noisy enough while riding, too, but I'll try to blame that on not riding her for two weeks because I didn't have any free time... after some not-riding, I always get paranoid about engine noise).
Does anyone have an idea what this could be?

Anyone? Please?
It's idling pretty erratic. When have you checked your valve clearances? Seeing as I'm new to these bikes, not sure about the noise your talking about.

Would start with valve clearances then balance the carbs :)

Were you revving from time to time in your video?

Clearances checked and set at factory spec. 2500km's/1550miles ago, carbs synched at the same time. The erratic idle was because the video was taken instantly after startup, with some choke usage - the latter caused the slow return to idle after I revved her (from time to time, yes), too, so I think no problems there.
I was referring to a high-pitched mechanical noise that comes and goes during the video, though I admit that it isn't easy to notice (easier in person), but that's the best sound quality I can do.
It's most audible during the first 10 seconds, then from 0:28 to 0:45 during the vid.

So I guess nobody can hear anything strange, that's why there are no further replies. Am I right? Not even in the aforementioned parts of the vid?

Atesz792, I'm not real good at hearing noises on vids posted online but I think I heard a couple noises that weren't quite familiar to me but barely heard them.  I had quite a time diagnosing a noise of my own this spring until it got worse and louder, sorry but my hearing isn't quite as good as it once was.  It's getting hard to hear what the wife is saying now too, there's good and bad to every problem I guess.   :icon_lol: :icon_lol:  She doesn't read this forum, busy with her quilting blog and related things:

407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

Let's hope she really does not lurk around :icon_lol:
Yeah, I followed that thread, glad it turned out to be a cheap fix.
Thanks for confirming, I'll visit the shop when the weather allows.

Well, she behaved at the shop, no unusual noises, so I guess I'll just have to live with it, hopefully nothing.
