Hello from merry old England! My name is Billy, I'm 25, from the North-East, drive and deliver cars for a living, qualified welder/fabricator, motor enthusiast for many, many years. Been riding for 8 years, full licence holder for two.

I am currently restoring a poorly maintained GS500 1992 with 25k on the clock... Aswell as modifying some aspects of it. I will show this and what I've done/doing in the projects sub-forum.

Thanks for having me.

Welcome to the site man! Looks like you're putting the little GS to good use already.

A welder / fabricator, huh? Cool - be sure to post pictures of your work!

Thanks Rich! I've actually had the bike for about a year, ran it for 6 months, got my driving job and decided to take her off the road for the restoration.
I bought it in a rush for a 5 day trip to The Lake district national park in Cumbria and into Scotland, at about 11pm the day before we we're due to head out. And I knew with it being a GS500 that it would have been fine and upon the pre-purchase viewing of the bike I knew it'd be adequite, even if she wasn't a looker. And I never looked back.

There will be many pictures to come, but here are a couple in its current condition.
