i just put new tires on yesterday. and no as soon as i go over 50 and let go of the handlebars even the slightest bit, i get a bit of a wobble/shake.. i had the problem with the old tires and then tightened up the triple tree and the shake went away. and now its back..

any ideas on what is causing this???

It could be any number of things. Wheel bearings (front and rear), rear wheel alignment, tire pressure, suspension load and condition, etc.

Having just put new tires on the first thing I'd first check would be to make sure the beads were were set all the way around.  There's a line around the tires close to the rim that will be equally distant from the rim all the way around if beads are fully set properly.  The first day on my first bike 30 years ago a guy in a car pulled up beside me to tell me my rear wheel was wobbling, turned out the tire wasn't seated properly.
