So I kinda lost the instructions to the VH exhaust system I bought. I just installed it but then found the instructions online and now I am worried its not on right. So the instructions mention having to remove a bolt from the center stand and installing the exhaust while on the regular kickstand... I did not do this. I assembled the two pieces of the exhaust off the bike and put the springs on then installed the whole complete exhaust at once. I just slipped it on, it was kind of a pain to get in the right position but I finally got all the holes to line up.

It looks fine, my only concern is the way the header bolts on, its weird... like the bolts are exposed unlike on the stock exhaust. It appears that the bolt plates on the exhaust header are not designed to meet up flush to the crankcase exhaust ports. I put the new exhaust gaskets in and then put on the header and header bolts then tightened the shaZam! out of them... it seems nice and snug, I can turn the bolts anymore than this but it just looks off to me. Is this the way it is supposed to be?

Pictures would get you a better answer.

If you can get a picture of where the exhaust w/bolts connects to the head.

I am at work at the moment, I will have to get actual pics later but in the meantime refer to my super professional ms paint illustration.

I guess technically thats the cylinder head not the crankcase... but you get my drift.
