Hi there,
My name is Petar and I am happy to join the GS community.
My bike is Suzuki GS500 - 97.
As a first post I would like to ask a few question related to a problem in my bike (because of me being stupid) >:(
This is a copy of my previous post in another forum so you can have some background information.

A few days ago.....
hello, i own suzuki gs500 and i have cleaned the carbs. The bike run like a dream. I left it on PRI (fuel petcock)and it was flooded later on. There is petrol in the oil. i rode it for 10 miles and it developed clicking noise and it goes more frequently with higher rpm also a bit sluggish performance. Also there is unstable odometer in idle. I have left the bike to rest now and waiting for new good quality oil and oil filter to be delivered . Could the oil be the problem ?I have changed the spark plugs.

And this is from Today.....
I have changed the oil and the the clicking sound is gone but there is a clanking sound now at the right bottom end (I think) (where the oil cap is). It goes faster with the rpm. I know I was an idiot to ride it with bad oil, but I had to go somewhere and decided to give it a go. I am attaching a video with sound of the engine. I would like some opinions, like how much damage I might have done, what it would cost to repair it (I am in London, England) and what the problem could be. Also if there is someone from London, that can recommend me a good garage with honest bike mechanic that will not rip me off. This is a link to a video in Youtube with the sound of my bike.

Thanks in advance.

Mate that doesn't sound all that bad to me... just sounds like an air-cooled twin! A GS500. Trouble is though youtube/camera sound can be very misleading.
Just get it to someone who knows bikes so they can listen to it.
I would def be draining the oil - flush it at least once, discard that oil, then put in nice new oil and oil filter. Do it. The one thing these motors need is GOOD fresh oil.
Beam me up Scottie....

Thanks for the reply. I will try to record the sound with a better quality. The reason I am not very keen to go to a mechanic, because last time I have been asked 150 pounds just open the engine and 110 pounds to change the bearing of the front wheel. I have to find a descent garage somewhere.  Meanwhile I will try to record the sound with better device and upload it again.
