So, i bought myself a 1993 gs500e frame. This frame was sandblasted and powdercoated by someone who wanted to start a project.

Since he then moved to australia for a year, when he returned home again, his license allowed him to drive heavier motorcycles. therefore scrapping the project.
only 40 euro's this all cost me

The black powdercoating he added for the 5 HP bonus looks in mint condition! absolutely awsome! looks brand new

I actually did en ik heb de gopro nog niet, komende maand waarschijnlijk.

Shall I tell you something funny... I put out a bid of €40 for that frame and he said it was too little! He wanted at least €75.
Mind you, that was a while ago...
I'm happy though someone from the forum has got it in the end

Check out the new entry level GoPro it's seems to be a good deal if you don't need or want all the extras & gimmicks!

Hahah :p well, i guess it s good to know that the price of this thing wasnt always this low. tbh, i was still a bit fishy about why this frame came in so cheap in the first place. Lack of demand i guess.

Does anyone know a frame swap project on this forum? it looks not that hard, but just to be sure. i want to do the frame swap within a day, is that possible?

I've given my new frame a mustage today!

Full frame swap will happen on saturday, so look out for those pictures!

This is my preparation for saturday. Im doing it in the workshop at work, so tools are all accounted for!


Here's the mustage! its secondhand. i didnt feel like placing over my old one. Now i wouldnt have a problem with it, now that i know how it all works (and how easy it is xD)

Well, in my town, i can have it done for 120 Euro's :p you bring the frame, and pick it up a week later :p or buy a powdercoated one second hand :p

I wish we were able to do frame swaps here in the US.
Unless we get a title with the frame this is very illegal here!

I bought a frame with the license plates matching the chassis number. So this is very legal, i think :p

Just where I live the Frame needs about another $200-$300 in paper work to be legal. Then you can buy your own plates (another $100)
