First of all I want to tell you some issues I have with it, maybe you can help.

- even after basically replacing the entire fuel system my bike is still surging and running really really hot. After a few minutes of riding it starts to surge and begins to idle really high like 5-6k rpm. And sometimes when it surges it starts to die then does in fact die.... then I have to let it cool before I can start it again.

Anyway can you point me in the right direction?

In the meantime enjoy some pics!!

Like I said before you bathed that bike in all sorts of pretty crap ...

The problem is inside the carbs. Prettying it up ... well the internals dont care about that. So you have to do what you had to do then - now.

OK you've got what jets ? I remember you saying something about that. And what is your filter/pipe setup.

You also may have vacuum leak, choke sticking open, or throttle cable hanging ... You had those taken apart and back together ? The leak may have survived intact, or it could have god worse ... or better if you take em apart and put it back ...

Cool.

This sounds like it may be electrical. If it is warm and the issue was the carbs - it will start easier especially if it was lean - and idle hover is lean. If its rich, it may not do a great hot restart, but it will also not hover.

Now you can sort out the idle hover issue, and see if it still happens.
