I contacted T-Rex Racing to see if their adjustable lowering links and adjustable kick stand would work for the GS500.  (I own two)

My wife (2005 GS500F) and daughter (1999 GS500E) are both petite and vertically challenged.  Both of my lovely ladies need to balance on tip toes and I love the idea of infinite adjustment for lowering links.  The adjustable kick stand makes the idea even better!

I really liked the sliders offered by T-Rex and contacted them for help on the lowering links.  They immediately asked if the forum and GStwin fans could give some input on the market interest for the adjustable links and kick stand.

I am not a frequent poster but I did offer to pass on the info to my fellow GS500 family members.

I am not sure how to proceed.  Possibly a poll?  Anyone with knowledgeable advice would be appreciated.

I do agree that it would be a great option, and I like their products.  However, the only thing I could really see a market for is the adjustable kickstand.  There are many good options for adjustable lowering links on the GS500, but the ones where you have 'infinite' possibilities with the adjustable linkage inevitably interfere with surrounding components.  There are already good options for links though, that I doubt T-rex could really compete on price... but maybe others have an opposing experience or opinion on that  :dunno_black:

Now, shorter kickstand/adjustable - I have never seen specifically for the GS500.  Everyone that has lowered the GS500 has either modified  the stock by chopping a section out, or lived with stock length (that I know of anyway).  I think there would be a nice little market for that - I know I would have bought one when my bike was lowered. I ended up purchasing one that someone had previously modified to shorter length for use with lowering links.

My bike is no longer lowered though.  I have a 29'' inseam, and I'm on my tip toes with stock heights.  I originally lowered it to have both feet flat on the ground.  Had that for a season and half or so, and then raised it back up now that I'm more comfortable... gives me better cornering and handling ability. I just lean the bike and stop with my left foot flat on the ground, and right foot on the peg handling the rear brake.  But I would not hesitate to lower it for anyone getting comfortable and flat footing both feet, definitely was worth the trade off.
