Cool looking dash!  Looks sharp  :thumb:

I am guessing it would be easier to buy one of those complete setups and make a custom bracket instead of trying to find a compatable stand-alone tach that would fit in the GS's housing and brackets?   :dunno_black:  Idk just thinking out loud... er, in text  :icon_rolleyes:

oh deffinately, youd be searching for hours, days, maybe even weeks to find a gauge that would fit the gs mount, i just had a sheet of aluminium laying arround, chopped it into shape, drilled the mounting holes and stuck some of that carbon fiber vynal over it, its not perfect but it does the job and looks pretty damn cool in my honest oppinion :)

A trailtech vapor would work, fairly easy to hook up not too cheap but prices fair used. Had one on my goped gtr40

ya im just wondering about hocking up the stock cable to the back of the tach and into the front of the engine. did you use the stock cable?

dowdy80

i did not use the cable, my tach is hooked up to the ignition coil, wich is easy enough and is pretty accurate :)

Dowdy, if that dash you have has a gear indicator, how did you get that to work on yours?

I cant tell form the pics - but is the guage tipped up toward you ?
If you did that, it'd look more like a factory job.
But TBH its the best aftermarket guage work I have ever seen.

Cool.
