Hi folks.
Dropped the bike on the driveway, no scratches but I snapped the clutch lever. Winner, winner chicken dinner.

So I replaced it and had quite a bit of freeplay in the lever.

I tried to tighten it but the freeplay became worse.

So I opened up the cover to the clutch and tried ajusting that nut.

Worse still.

It should be noted that I have Haynes, but haven't found the section I'm after.

Idiot, as I said.

Here's a short youtube vid to illustrate what I've checked.

Do a 3 point clutch adjustment as shown in shop manual:

407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.
