Hey guys,

I was wondering if maybe anyone on here had the left under cowling and the rear frame cover fairing for a gs500f 04-09. I am looking for the pearly yellow and am having a Buddha Loves You of a time finding it. I have looked on bikebandit, cheapcycleparts, and partzilla but all that suzuki offers now for OEM replacement fairings is the black ones and I need yellow. Also does anyone know of maybe an aftermarket website that sells these fairings?

thanks!

The previous owner of my yellow '04 purchased a replacement under cowling for it and included it with the sale as the installed fairing had some marks from a drop on the edge of the gravel leading it into his shed.  He gave me the invoice for it and the sticker set to match.  The invoice is from Babbitt's Online - who have a Suzuki specific site I'll link below.  The paint code for this yellow is Y9H.  You must note that the cowlings are a solid yellow and the stickers are separate and are additional cost.

This yellow is really hard to find used parts for, especially in decent condition - that's why the previous owner purchased them like this.

The other option would be to find any 04-09 fairing and prep/paint it yourself using the color code (Y9H).  You can find this exact paint from http://www.colorrite.com/product/suzuki-y9h-pearl-lively-yellow-1719.cfm

Do you know for sure that you can order that yellow from that website? I have contacted places like cheapcycle parts and partzilla and they have both told me that the parts are superseded now by Suzuki. Bikebandit told me they "might" be able to get it. I was just curious if you knew for sure if they had it.

Thanks!

This was approximately three years ago when I bought the bike and got that info from the previous owner - I hadn't put the new fairing on until I had plenty of miles under my belt.  Once I did, I noticed the newer one was actually a little lighter than the 'old' opposite side... turns out, there is a color variance from the factory on this particular color...   and I'm OCD and wanted them to match... decided I'd take a chance on getting a better match. I ordered the opposite side myself last summer, knowing it might take a few weeks - few weeks passed so I called and they were very helpful.  They told me it could take 6-8 weeks total, vs the more typical 3-4 weeks I kind of assumed for a part like this... it showed up week 7 from when I ordered it.  The actual shipping time, was very fast from the day they notified me of the actual shipment.

I guess I would call them and just see, but its definitely a legit place - They have a HUGE inventory and also outsource when its necessary.  Judging by the added time on my order, I might assume that is what they did.
