OIL LEAK

so, my gs500 is seeping oil from the left side of the motor, near the front, i think it will be the gasket on the cover over the motor on that side. Its definitely engine oil and its nice and clean. coming from the top. Is this a common thing?

am i better just doing the gasket and going from there???

The cover gasket is the most likely culprit from your description.

You could try drying off the oil and pinpoint the leak.
