keep it old school or go with an the update?

I sand blasted my gas tank only to find out it's about 70% bondo...the last owner did a decent job of it, but now i know why I can only fill the tank with 4.2 gallons from bone dry...

So the question is do I keep it old school (spending less money)
Or do I get all the new stuff (spending more money for essentially a bigger gas tank)

I'm undecided because I like both looks of the bike. Old school and new school.
