righto as the title states I have purchased a gsx650 it looks amazingly similar to the gs500,

Will the forks fit? - wider front tire dual brakes and new suspension

Will the swing arm fit? - wider rear tire New discs and brakes

Once again any help would be appreciated.

Pics to come soon

i would be more interested in what parts fit on the 650 from the 500.

As EFI, dual disc, more power, bigger tire, and better bike...

The engine casing is broken, fairings (not that I would have them) are screwed.

I'll know more when I collect this evening

so the engine isn't fixable?

who needs fairings? wire in a Street fighter headlight and call it a day!

Search around for Katana wheel swap, and you'll find the wheels can be fitted up fairly easily (wouldn't hurt to cross reference the wheel bearing / axle diameters though). As far as the forks & front brakes, they are a little more involved. There is some machining and steering stem swapping if I recall.

I don't remember anybody doing a swingarm swap, so I would guess there's a good reason.....different pivot bolt diameter, wider frame at the pivot, or just maybe no benefit from a Katana swinger? I dunno.
