Epic music!

Ok, so I found an orchestra called Two Steps from Hell led by a man named Thomas Bergersen.  They got started doing movie-trailer music, and ended up making a few independent albums.  Really great music if you want to feel empowered, I've been listening to it on the drive to work and it really livens up the commute (though I have to watch the lead-foot on occasion).

Anyway, winter is more or less in full swing and that means no motorcycle riding.  Not like I could even if I wanted to since my motorcycle was sadly sold months ago and never replaced.  Recently I've had the itch to ride again, and combined with me listening to Bergersen's epic music I found an almost perfect track to go along with the feel of the first ride of the season!  I'll definitely be hitting this one up when I get my next bike and take the plunge.  Lets see what you guys think!

Allow me to sort of take the reigns on a direction here:

0:00 - intro - Early morning, sun rising over the horizon.
0:20 - strings - Opening the garage, uncovering the bike, wheeling it outside, gassing it up, switching everything on.
1:00 - impact, "big cat" sounds - That first fire!  A few revs!  Remembering the feel, sound, and power of that engine, but also being a little bit intimidated by it.
1:32 - vocals, calmer - Sun rising higher over the horizon, standing next to the bike as it warms up, putting gear on.
2:04 - softer section - Tossing a leg over.  Adjusting the mirrors.  Putting feet on the pegs, hands on the bars, remembering the placement of the controls, the feel of the engine purring away under you, the light vibration in the whole bike, the resistance of the clutch, and finally flicking it into gear.
2:36 - string entrance - getting that clutch friction zone, heading slowly down the driveway.
2:52 - louder - heading slowly down the side street/alley in front/back of your house.
3:08 - more strings - side streets heading towards the main street, getting a feel for the bike's balance, getting to the first traffic light heading onto a main street.
3:40 - decrescendo into silence - Waiting for that light to turn green, holding your breath...
3:48 - climax - Twisting that throttle and letting the engine pull you full force into the asphalt jungle!  That feeling, you know the one  ;)  The sun at your back, no traffic ahead of you, running through the gears!
5:00 - hesitation and impact - Seeing that red light ahead and pulling in the clutch, downshifting once or twice while coasting up to it, only to have it turn green again and you twist the throttle and let your left hand fly open! (maybe you pop a wheelie?)
5:10 - resolution - The adrenaline wearing off, settling back for a simple smile and a deep satisfaction from being back on two wheels...  :thumb:
