Here are some pics of the Backpack I wear when I ride. Bright, huge retro reflective patches on back and front. You can see me if Im behind you and you glance back, you can see me from behind! Couple pics of me right there and as Ive driven away.

Tons of Storage, laptop compartment, conceal carry gun compartment (if its legal where you are that is) and tool compartment, helmet holder net, and jacket holder.

Nice!! .. what sorta $? My 20 year old 'No Fear' backpack is just starting to show it's tiredness.... and I can't get same one anymore! ... knew I shoulda got 2! Lol

Cool stuff! I don't actually use a backpack (topcase is more comfortable on the long rides I take her on), so I just bought a high-viz vest highway workers use. (About $2 I suppose. Make sure to get a "mesh" one.)
All my friends started laughing and making jokes when they first saw it on me, but hey, I was on a group ride not long ago. Riding in the fog, the only rider I could clearly see (apart from the one right in front of me) was the one the farthest away from me, wearing a high-viz vest

But I had sold a phone on eBay that didn't go for enough money so I received a gift card from them, and picked the pack for less cost out of my pocket.

I was going to grab another High viz pack but I couldn't ding one that fit "everything": Sweater for coffee shop all my books "grad school" amount of books, separate laptop holder, helmet holder etc....

The other thing as opposed to my pervious back pack is that the strap system comes part in such a way now that I have set it I don't have to adjust it as I take it on and off, plus all loose straps tie down. And the ultimate which is what has kept me from getting a case...the way it straps on: Between the pad in the lower back region and the straps, the weight does not sit and pull on your shoulders, in fact balances between chest (sternum) and back, which is cool for me because I have chest armor in my jacket so I don't even feel the bag.

It is a large investment though but it literally had "all the aspects I needed" to commute to work and school (not a "long" drive) Plus its just so flipping bright!! Especially at night from the reflective parts.

If you curious just find it at a store, Revzilla or on Amazon Prime (when you can) order it...look it over...try it on...and if you don't like it return it.

Yeah if my commute gets longer I will probably get some other storage but between the comfort of the bag and length of my commute this works well, plus my other backpack was getting worn out.

I know I feel cooler in my "all black" but I love how visible I am and feel with pack on....of course even head to toe high viz won't protect you from the 16 yr old boy/girl with a cell phone and Facebook account.

I think its important for all riders to have some high-viz...at least a vest

Awesome backpack, mate! By the way it looks good with all the black things. It's too expensive for me, tho... I use an Adidas backpack, black and cyan.

Oh yeah, it is spendy. I had eBay gift card money I had to spend....and So I went for it plus they did put a lot of rider specific stuff on it, so at least I felt good about that, but yeah....many folks can get by with much cheaper things as did I for awhile.

just get some rope and tie it down to the back of your bike for longer trips, make sure its tied down though... backpacks flying off at stop-lights, or down county roads is no freaking fun, especially if you have your favorite knife and multitool on you and a few important tools, realize its gone maybe not 5 minutes later. and turn around - cutting across grass medians just to quickly go get it, just to come find out, some jack-donkey has already stolen it. - no not move it out of the road or anything, straight up took it and left with it, within 5 minutes, had to of been someone who was behind me... losing my two knives were the worst.

Yes tie down will be a must, but honestly I drove around an hour yesterday just for fun with extra shield, sweater, hat and some stuff from target that I bought and never thought about having a pack on...its that comfortable, one again though My alpine stars jacket has chest armor in it so it distributes the weight even better
