What is the highest mileage on a gs500e engine??

Hey Guys
What is the highest mileage on a Gs500E?   
Mine has run 80.000 km, how many kilometers more can it handle?
And I do not know if the previous owner has serviced it, so what kind of maintaince do I have to do??
Any suggestions?

GS5s are popular with the courier riders, they are, or were, taking them well past 100k.

But its all relative and depends on how it used and how well it is has been maintained.

My 02 GS with just over 100,000 miles = 160,000 km would make your 80,000 km GS just half used.  You've got lots of miles to go with reasonable care.

Mine has done 90K km/60K miles.I thought i should start worrying ,but apparently not ha ha.

You just passed my 89 - bought 1995 with 8k miles and sold 2005 48k miles.
It was running ... but used copius amounts of oil. 300 a qt.

How can you reduce the oil consumption on an old 80.000 km MC?
Tell me all the tricks

There isn't any.
I used 60 wt in summer, still not a big difference.
Just keep good oil in it, I went to SF rated walmart special - accel 10w40. Didn't make much diff.
