I was in the middle of doing many upgrades to my 05 F.
I decided to pull the headlamp bulb just to look at it.  Well I broke one of the three prongs as it was melted to the plastic 'thingy'.  So off to buy a new bulb and new 'thingy'. LOL.  Went to autozone for the thingy, maybe seven bucks for a replacement H4 receiver and some wire. My buddy has a solder gun and we fixed it up, added a lil heat shrink over it, step one for repairing my screw up completed.

Step two led me to Amazon for a new LED lamp.  I bought this:

I was not satisfied with the light output. So I tried this:

The first one was 2 for $20 the second is one for $40.    So, 4x expensive but 100x better quality.

A little double sided tape to secure the ballast and I'm back in business.  Oh and these photos are the low beam with just one of the large LED. With the second one it's crazy bright.  I may need to adjust the angle down and or right a little to avoid blinding oncoming traffic.

Oh yeah, these pictures were taken with a camera phone, but the flash was off and they were taken just 5 min apart.  I was hoping to minimize any differences from the camera.

Cheers    and hope this helps any of you looking for better lights.

Trae.
