Dats purdy.......

Seriously, that is a ton of work on an easily overlooked part of a bike. You sir, have some serious dedication (and maybe insanity).

Man all of the feels on that intro. Sorry to hear about your brother...def lost a few friends over the years to drugs. Sweet build though and a very cool way to remember him. Quick question and I couldn't find the answer in the thread....what technique/tool are you using to do all that stippling?

Best of luck as you finish out. I also like the tip of the hat to Ed Roth. Very sweet and I'm looking forward to seeing it complete.
Deals on Amsoil if you want it. PM me for details.

I want those metal flowers AND metal middle finger on my bike. WELL DONE!!!!!

Thanks Suzi Q, I appreciate the kind words. I use a dremel with small round cutting tips. Along with dental burrs. I'm really only a novice at it, I have a LONG way to go to get any good.
Glad to see a fellow Ed Roth fan, we seem to be few and far between these days. Thanks again for your interest.

Pandy, thanks for the compliment. You would be surprised at how...well, easy isn't the right word, but I was surprised how quick it is to catch on to, at least for simple designs. That's easy for me to say though since I'm not that good. Thanks for the interest.

Ok well she's painted, still all sorts of odds and ends to take care of, but it's one step closer right! There's a little bit of a headache I found out about, and I would love ideas and suggestions. I'll have to post better pics soon, but where the rear of the seat meets up with the tail, there's a gap on the under side. I'll have to redo the seat and add foam I guess to make it all match up. This probably isn't making sense. I'm not sure if I like the color combo of the seat and the green anyway. I think I might do it in black. I'm still undecided I guess. Anyways I'll shut my trap and post some pics. I won't bore you with more body work pics.

Here you can see what I'm talking about, I'll get more pics soon.

Best "soap box racer" motorcycle I've ever seen...... haha.

As always, everything is looking great Fink. I zoomed in on my phone and saw the back half first, and when I swiped over I thought "why did he photoshop out the engine?".

I wish I could help with the upholstery dilemma. Do you think maybe the fabric just needs broken in (and close that gap)?

Thanks Rich. It took me a min to get the soap box racer joke, I got a kick out of that :icon_mrgreen:. Yeah I wish I photo-shopped the engine out! I'm actually not looking forward to putting it in. I'm sure I'll be making sailors blush when I do.  >:(
I'm really not sure about the seat, I know i'll get it figured out, I haven't wanted to mess with things yet. The parts still need a few weeks before they are fully gassed out. Time will tell. Thanks again for always watching Rich.

Thanks as always Biz.
No big update, but I did add this sweet little hood ornament I picked up off of eBay. I should be making more progress soon. I'll update when I do.

Left and right hand controls

How did you get the brake lever to fit properly? Did you modify it? I purchased the same set of levers but the front brake lever was too wide to slide in to there you bolt it in. Great project....

I have the same set as well (in a different color though) and they fit in normally. Are you 100% the set you bought is for the GS500?

I would contact the eBay seller. Looks to me like you received the wrong levers :dunno_black:
