Hey all my rear caliper is shot as well as my 3 spares is there anything I can swap over?

I have got the bandit 600 rear wheel swap so space is tight.

Other wise I have a big job on my hands trying to get mine refurbished.

After almost 100k miles of riding my 02 year around splshing thru the salt water every winter my calipers were in horendous condition.  I replaced them both with like new low mileage calipers from a 09 model I found on ebay.  Cost $28 each including shipping hardly much more than good quality new pads alone cost.

407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

I have refurbed it now though.

I'd be interested in some after pictures, if you wouldn't mind.

Only thing i couldn't re-use was the joining seal which i had to order and while i was there i ordered some new pins and clips nice new brake pads, there's more detail cleaning to be done but again I need a part to arrive.

Last time I refurbished some calipers they looks great and I sprayed them back to black.

When the new parts come i am hoping to finish detail cleaning and should look like these i did for my zx9r caliper swap:

Thanks for the refurb pics. It's always satisfying seeing something cleaned up.

I love it when it pays off. Like I said I still need another rust remover part and some brake cleaner then I'll paint the caliper and rebuild but being easter everything is late. I also bought another gs500, that's 6 logbooks in my name now *shame*
