Hello Gstwin

I have these blue decals on the sides and the tank of my bike, and was wondering if I could remove them, because I think it will look being a black and sliver only bike.

If they can be removed, what is underneath them?

Sure, they can be removed. The question is how much effort do you want to put into that project?

If they've been clear coated over that's some significant cost and effort to remove.

You'd have to refinish your tank and tail fairing, at the minimum.

I gotta say, too. Nice looking bike. Everything I see in the photos are pristine.

Now that you say it, if it is going to be a difficult time removing it, I might just leave it be.

I was thinking it would just take a heat gun and some elbow grease

Here is my gs just for the sake of it

I agree. That is a nice bike. Looks really clean.  :thumb:

Thanks man, its my first bike, and I really like it, although its not very fast compared to the ER6N i took my licence on :)

I took the decals off the tail fairing fairly easily.  They were just stickers so a blow dryer and goo-gone proved no match!

As for the tank ive left those on because as mentioned above they tend to have a clear coat over them and not so easy to remove!
I may plastidip the tank to give it a flat black look (and added grip!) anyway, so that solves that for me!

but yeah the tail was super easy to do, provided someone hasnt put a clear coat over that for some reason

good luck!

I dig the decals on his bike. Nice deep blue with a black tank. Has this kind of night stalker feel. It's cool, man. 8)
