WANTED: Muffler hanger bolt, nut & washer......chain lube in bulk?

afternoon, all.

So, I finally went on my first road trip on the bike (Berkshires, MA - lovely slow-pace riding and lots of other bikers on roads taking it easy, SCENERY!!!!, lots of theatre, some good eating). I survived, Pokey survived.

My hanger bolt didn't.

I loaded up to head out, and looked down to see the bolt missing. 

So, does anyone have an extra or can you quote the dimensions of the bolt/nut?

Bonus question: why can one not find chain lube in bulk? I can get a Finish Line Dry in a quart size (and bucket if I dig around enough). Why can one only find lube in cans? 

Not that I necessarily burn through the stuff, but it would be nice to just buy a lot at once....and be able to apply with a brush instead of spray..

Just looked the bolt up for a 99 GS on Partzilla : it's marked as an 8*40 bolt.

which translates to M8 x 40mm?
