I hear that for a stock Gs the number of turns should be 3 turns out. Do less turns out mean more fuel and less air or less fuel and more air. What would happen if I set them at 2.5 turns?
Thanks in advance

I've been reading a lot about this on here recently. I think acceptable play range with the mixture screw is 2-4 turns. Stock starts at 2.5 turns out, I believe. I have an aftermarket air filter and exhaust and 3 turns out works for me, so you probably wouldn't need that much.

QuoteThe air screw can be located either near the back side of the carburetor or near the front of the carburetor. If the screw is located near the back, it regulates how much air enters the circuit. If the screw is turned in, it reduces the amount of air and richens the mixture. If it is turned out, it opens the passage more and allows more air into the circuit which results in a lean mixture. If the screw is located near the front, it regulated fuel. The mixture will be leaner if it is screwed in and richer if screwed out. If the air screw has to be turned more than 2 turns out for best idling, the next smaller size pilot jet will be needed.

I think I'll stick with 2.5 turns out.  Only aftermarket part I have is a uni foam air filter
