rotating the engine?

So pretty simple question hard to find answer. I managed to drop something down the engine(ring) I fished it out and spun the engine maybe ten times cause I got a dumb voice in my head saying what if u dropped something else also. Well I didn't but I wanted to ask if I could have caused any damage in rotating the engine by hand that many times I am not super mechanical so I figured I better ask.
