Hi all!!

I´m kind of new here, anyway a few months ago I installed BRISK PREMIUM RACING BR12ZC spark plugs and they worked well. Later on I was wondering if I can have more juice from the ignition coil, after a research I figure it out there is no aftermarket high output coils for our GS500 (If do please let me know part number).  These leave me with a question... What if I remove the plug boot resistor?? Anyway I did it and replaced with cooper wire inside. It worked crazy amazing, IDLE was at 1300 RPM without hesitate, also the engine response when I throttle was crispy.

Is there any side effects that I ay be aware? My bike is a 1996 GS500E

Thanks for the good advice

What are you hoping to achieve by doing this? An interesting mod, but I'm not sure about the ramifications of having done it.

My goal is to achieve more ignition power in the combustion chamber, to completely burn the gas/air mix and as result a little bit of power.

I don't have a part number, but look at Dyna coils / ignition. They are well known universal aftermarket coils. Just make sure you match the resistance of the stock GS coils (or find out what happens when changing resistance).

Hey there! well, i spoke with the dyna guys over the phone, but was kind disappointing... the guy over phone told me don't buy them, there is no difference with the OEM ones... by the way, so far no failures with the coils or spark plugs and the bike runs fine.
