Hello!
I am new to this forum and have started working on my bike as I have some time to spare now, but mostly because I passed the test and got my license today - hooray. Put a new back tire on thanks to all helpful guides found and will be working on her to get her in good working condition for this summer.
The PO has laid her down a couple of times and because of this the lift clip-on bar is significantly bent. (also the clip-on bar "holder", but only slightly.)
I am searching for a new bar/bars to replace the old one, there are some used ones on ebay but I also found new vortex bars that actually would be cheaper... Is there some catch here?? I measured the bar to 22mm, so it should fit.
With these new bars I would install bar end mirrors if possible (the ones I have now are horrible..)

Waiting for the rain to pass

I think I will go for these http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-CNC-Universal-7-8-Clip-On-Ons-Handlebars-Replacement-Handle-Bar-Tube-Black-/181699591556?hash=item2a4e23bd84&vxp=mtr
and see if it would be possible to get bar-end mirrors on them. A new clutch perch and lever is also needed, am I right that most of the old suzuki ones would fit?
Taking my first longer trip today, it is going to be awesome  :D

And WHAT creates the electric arc that ignites the fuel if not spark plug???

Those replacement bars should fit for you. No need to replace any perches. Just drill set holes in the bars, or file the set tabs off the perches. What makes you think spark plugs don't ignite the fuel?

Be aware, this is not very wise advise!

Thanks that's what I needed to know!
The perch, lever and cable is indeed not in good condition any more after the PO has fallen with the motorcycle.

The arc-question is a security question that I never get right..  :cookoo:

hmm, try "coil" next time it comes up. Not sure what those damn admins were smoking when they came up with some of those questions and answers.
