... so. . 3 jets carbs vs 2 jet carbs?  .. pretty sure it's been in a number of threads!? :thumb:

Isn't the engine more or less completely unchanged?

So putting the 3 jet carb on an engine that previously had a 2 jet carb would just work straight off, no?

The 3 circuit carbs have a one mm larger body and different intake boots to match.  Some have stretched them in to fit, think it would be a matter of how old the rubber is.  Flange bolt patterns to head are same.
The 3 circuit carbs have dual throttle cables while the 2 circuit carbs have only a single cable.

Search for someone that has done it for details.  I had a 97 with 2 circuit and my 02 with 3 circuit at the same time for a while and the change was significant, much better mid range with the 3, worth the change I think.
