I dunno about the Bandit. ... around here (Pittsburgh) there are 1200 Bandits that show up for about the same price. That, and the fact that the parts that were replaced sound like stuff that would be replaced in a minor crash. Maybe I'm wrong though?

What years of the 600 kat motor had transmission issues I know the first gen was. So 88-96. Was it carried over to the next version ?
The result of poor shifting habits ... would be worth it to really test the transmission out before buying it.

My brother has a 99 bandit 600. He loves it and hasn't had any problems with it. Definitely worth checking out if you ask me
