Question regarding new clutch/brake levers - Clutch perch?

So I hate the clutch levers on my GS500.  I found some CNC'd ones on Ebay, as I'm sure many have, that claim to be custom CNC'd to match the originals, you must give them your exact year and model number when you order.

Do we still have to switch out the perch to make these fit?  The last thread I found was from like 2011, so I'm not too sure if that is still the law of the land.  I'd love some short levers!

Jeez I don't know if I am color blind or what but these Captchas are impossible!

Hello and welcome to the forum!  Here is a thread I remembered seeing last month about different levers, maybe it will help you out!

If not, try searching for "shorty levers"... it turned up a bunch of threads (more recent than 2011) that may have the info you are looking for.

I hear ya about the Captchas!! Don't fret too much over them or the questions, they go away after the first handful of posts  :thumb:

I just installed the levers above last night.
Stock perches. I'm happy.

Be aware, this is not very wise advise!

Interesting.  Well I just bought some.  I will hope for the best.  I bought the adjustable variant from the same company.

I just switched my levers out about a week ago.  I went with these...

They went on with a perfect fit.  Just had to be careful not to over tighten the clutch safety switch upon reinstall, or the lever would stick a bit.

They're on and work perfect.  Love them!
