Hi guys, i'm trying to fiz the WOT problem on my bike, and just figured out what that white stuff in the top of the new carbs are. They are called here in Brazil, maximum valves (or valve of maximum), and are responsible of getting the diaphragm all the way up at WOT. What happens is that mine was mounted wrong inside, and I'm pretty sure that this is the problem with my bike lack of power at WOT.

I need a good soul to diassemble one of the valves (carefully) and check the order of the stuff that goes inside. Looking at the parts, I concluded that i should mount as follow in the images below, but need confirmation. Could anyone with new model carbs give me a hand?

I just took that apart and posted a whole bunch of pictures a few weeks ago. Search for a thread on 3d printing parts. They are in there.

Be aware, this is not very wise advise!

Ty slack, just finished putting everything togheter. Tomorrow I'll try it and hope it fix the WOT problem. If it dont fix, i have no clue on what i can do kkk

If the carb is functioning correctly fuel mixture at WOT is controlled by the size of the main jet.

I know, I'm using a 142 main jet, cause i have a k&n dropin filter and full aftermarket exhaust.

After fixing the nipple in the withe valve seems like the bike es a little better, but its not perfect. Need time to make the tests of spark plug collor at WOT, but it seems to be weaker around 5,5 and 7k rpm. Maybe a needle height problem?

Pipe + K&N drop in ??? as in K&N In the airbox ??? Then with pipe you need 135 mains.

That little thing you opened up doesn't do nothing in WOT. It actually comes into play when you suddenly shut the throttle. Its supposed to reduce backfiring by adding some fuel or some BS ... It was in some keihein's on kawi eliminator 1000's, and there as well it did not do much. Cos the eli 900 carbs didn't have em, and those backfired just about the same as the eli 1000's.

Cool.

In fact it just dindn't got any better by fixing the top valve.

Brazilian model come with stock 20/63.5/135 because we have 27% ethanol mixed in our gas. I've tried 142 and 145 mains, but it feel similar to stock 135 jets. A friend of mine withe the same filter and exhaust configuration dont have this issue with WOT. Next weekend i'll try to clean the carb again to see if i can get any improvement. The needle is in stock position (clip in the 3rd of the 5 grooves).
Need time and patience to test the mixture the right way, running it at full throtle and shuting it off, checking plugs, and all the way down afterwards.

Valve clearance out of specs could do anything like this? I haven't checked them yet.
