I have bought two of those thin, covers in the past and both were poor fitting. One fit the front end of the GS500F nicely but couldn't make it over the rear. The second one fit decently on the back but then was way too droopy on the front. They both ended up ripping in the wind and now I'm looking for something better quality and with a better fit. What brand and what size covers do you guys use?

I use a heavy, sturdy generic cover, and sat the bike in a quiet corner of the projects parking lot, just behind my car, when it rains heavily, a river comes through and the cover bottoms get soaked and dirty, actually that cover is so old now that's now cracking due to UV rays and falling apart, I wanted a half length elastic cover, to protect the electrics and seat. Strong winds would make it fly, although or could be stolen as it's handsome. Putting that old, heavy cover is a pain in the a**, but keeps "safe" the bike from sun, rain and people passing by.

I own this Tour Master cover.

I went with the Medium.  The front end is completely covered, the rear is covered, but the lower 1/4 of the rear rotor and wheel are exposed.  The large may be a better fit to cover everything, but I like how the medium pulls taught while over the bike.  When it rains heavy, the rain just runs down it, doesn't pool up in any spots.  I have no complaints so far, have had it for 4 months.

i bought a stupidly large moto cover from amazon for like $14.

I park in a garage with all the other tenants in my building so i just needed something for dust from the cars passing by and so on.

works pretty nicely. It's very thin and not recommended to put on until the bike cools.

that's how cheap it is. it's also ridiculously large! Like a mumu for my moto.

Generic Nelson-Rigg:

Nelson-Rigg MC-904-03-LG Deluxe All-Season Motorcycle Cover (Black, Large)

Doesn't cover both tires all the way to the ground, but about half-down. Works perfect for me but may not cover enough for others.
