Model Year Engine Colours

Hi all,

I am looking for some engine cover parts for a 2007 and 2008 GS500F both of which are silver casings. I have seen some engines in black. Is it an option or are they different model years ?

If anyone has any parts or advice, I am looking for the following in silver -
Contact Cover and Contact Emblem
Magneto cover Emblem

Engines were black thru 96 and silver from 97 on.
