Oil changed..Still oil light ON

Hi,

I bought 07 GS500F yesterday. I saw that engine oil light (red) was ON during ignition ON and engine OFF, but goes OFF after engine ON. I changed oil and oil filter today, the engine light during ignition ON and engine OFF is still ON.

The bikes has 8000 miles. What else do I need to take care of immediately to make sure everything is alright.

Nothing, you're good.

That engine oil light is the oil pressure (not LOW oil, or dirty oil). So when the engine isn't running, there is zero oil pressure and the light is on. Now, if that light comes on while the engine is running, you have a real problem....
