frig that airboot hurts worse to wear it on tib fracture side , than not wearing it at all. cought myself in a brief stumble in kitchen cought myself but stepped hard. no apparent worsening of limb damage i take the moonboot off when i can to exercise my left foot ( it had the tibia fracture) right foot had the fibula fracture and subsequent surgery. staying off my feet until med appointments early this week. damn cant wait to get useage of my feet back lol

timeline: 3 weeks to get cast removed, then re imaged then if all goes well the moonboot from left leg tib fracture will be applied/used on right side. for 3 addl weeks non load bearing. then we begin phyisical therapy.  provided i handle this well, can then begin employment search looking forward to this. hate being lazy. forced or otherwise

yup left side ( tibial fracture) still bruised and slightly swollen. really dont want to put the moonboot on cause it locks foot at 90 degrees. may have to though. getting round best i can. weight slowly returning to normal range. still planning a pig out at AYCE buffet. When funds permit. watched just about every show on the 6 channels ive got. EXCEPT for talk shows. LOL heck no i wont go there. id end up yelling at tv like it would help Eh?

meh will have to obtail ride tomorrow to pawn the av system ( the onkyo reciever and jbl northridge speakers.  to cover the phone acquisition and 1 prescription ins calls optional lol.  most of the time i can get them to approve things. but one minor prescription. beyond that ill be at home. but damn hurts to remain sitting. dont want to attempt horizontal rest cause that will end up giving me a raging case of insomnia at that point lol. my body was used to rising early for work.

not looking forward to today. 1 of two things is going to happen... either im able to chain this phone to my desktop and use it as a usb modem ( as long as my computer will support this) or i have to somehow make it a quarter mile down the road to old workplace to use their computer. why? i won a phone on ebay. a windows mobile unit. an lg vs750 fathom. reason being i cant pre register with this phone for some reason for upcoming surgeries. ( one more on leg and a spinal cord stimulator implant in my back.) 16 bux shipped was pretty good i think.  problem is this phone wont let me finalise payment via pp and ebay. so am going to try and set this phone up as a usb modem on my desktop. if she wont see her, then i must make my way down to old work place. its maybe 1500 feet from my home. and use their computer. got to get this done  today though. got the moonboot o nthe left leg and csat with boot on right. if i can make it there theyll givem e a ride back. its only 1500feet. i can see their roof from my place. legs will kill me tomorrow but aftert hat i am idle as can be. on a good note, gainingw eight again. up to 136. canttseem to go past this. although my norm was 148 to 151 so this isnt to terribly off. might be my new norm.. more updates to come. cant wait to begin physical therapy. once i passe inspection on my legs in 3 weeks i begin pt. 3 weeks of that, then i can start walking without t he  boots and other supports

Bad news lol. my comp wont see the usb modem in this phone. wont  allow me to download the required drivers. this means ive got a trek tomorrow will do it early before heat sets in. but ill call first and see if cathy ( friend and ex boss) will give me a lift up there. i sharpen her kitchen knives anyways. so may not have to chair it. but she must be there, cqause only she knows the password. will try to get a lift both ways. but either way i have to be there today. shooting for 10am. if i have to hike it or wheelchair it in, ill be there by 1030. will prolly use the chair since i have no load orders. but theres brief walking involved. i deflated my bicycle tires so that temptqation isnt there. took the valve cores out and put them in a baggie in my fathers car. along sith the tire pump. wish me luck Eh? hoping for a ride both ways. will see my friends. will see . updates later on. will update as i head out, and as i return. yours

 frig i cant sleep. legs had a fuzzy feeling which was like a major painkiller. what the spinal cord stimulator surgery ( minimed unit) oct 27th is supposed to do. guess i couldnt sleep cause it was a psych thing. guess i didnt want to miss it. lmao. guess a nerve on one side rubbed the plate.? idk. calling dr reat later on regarding this. besides no need to sleep now id have to be up in an hour to get to old work place ( pizza express) to use their comp. i can crash later on after returning. wont have to chair it up there, i can drive using left foot i bring moon boot and walker with me. and im golden. not supposed to be driving ( health suspension 6 years ago. ) but ive been cleared for short trips like this, and to beat all, ive got a good rapport with the pd here. they know if i drive its either to this place or to pharmacy. both as the crow flies a quarter mile from house. my plan is i put boot on, ( protects tibia fracture) walk using walker down to car load walker inside. climb aboard ( mazda tribute) remove moonboot which is allowed for brief periods. get there, put boot back on .. btw this me driving thing is a last resort. trying to get sister to run me up there. i do not want to use the chair to wheel up there. made that trip one time took 40 minutes. Armstrong propulsion system at its finest. lol. anyhoo enough blab had to update my semi dysfunctional family here. love yall. small update here later this eve. BTW going to move thread to tf. since its mainly a daily gstwins journal and i feel bad about cluttering O&E up lol. ( btw on a humorous note, my title i changed until the ebay phone arrives ill revert it back to what it was.  if you saw the phone im using now, it is about the size of a 2/3rd scale colour game boy. cant wait for replacement to get here. finally will be able to zoom in on pics. until this evening,

update got ride to do what i needed to do so didnt have to left foot drive. made it home. however if the pain doesnt subside in left foot now, ( tibia fracture) will end up in ED or will deal with it until i can get into ortho.  used walker to GENTLY  lower myself from car. plus had moonboot on. to beat all. pain is different in this one. a combo of pain like an akle sprain as well as a sharp pain like a fracture. but not as intense. da*n thks is getting old. ive had the best luck for 40 years now all this mess in the space of a month.  will put it up on an ottoman and ice it and observe. kinda want to keep my ankles attached to me. want to own and ride another gs. that is my goal. dont want to have to fabricate hhand controls and a sidecar if i dont have to. although a side car gs would be fun lol. a lady was complaining loudly at convenience store earlier. being all sorts of colourful in language. i mentioned " make you a deal, ill trade you these 2 broken ankles and all of its assorted inconveniences for your bad day. heck ill trade them for a dozen. she just shut up and walked off. lol. venting is fun sometimes. anyhoo. feel exhausted. so will try sleep lol. be back later. heres hoping for better luck.

close examination no obvious swelling which is good. just a bit of a bulge over where the fibula would be. putting moon boot on to let dog out after that im done on my feet except for rr breaks. tis 3pm so may just stay awake until this eve. will leave boot on. going to follow docs orders to a t   from this point on its a no load as is right, but he allowed supported weight bearing for SHORT duration. not going to chance it, dont want to risk having to stay in a rehab center while it heals. on a good note, weight is at 137. ill settle for that and build slowly back to the 151 . anyhoo time to armor up and let the dog out.. back in a bit. ohhh figured out how to get this phone to copy urls   so ill put pics from my pb acct. have to obtain copies post surgery  want to see how they set up the plates and internal rods . will try to get those  this coming week. pics shortly. they are sfw. if anything its a visual reminder not to be an idiot like me lol or a clutz lol. anyhoo back in a bit. dog getting ornery

now heres the mystery one. well it was to me. im wondering why this thing hurts like it does and i cant see anything obvious. a moment of divine inspiration later, get a strong urging to read the reports. classified as an "oblique aortic distal fracture of the tibia". ( main weight bearing bone) heres the aha moment if i could find one lol "diagnosed by the widening of the space between the tibula and fibula and fractures in a vertical plane. gap is obvious. that much space? errm not sposed to be like this. long story short is my left leg is trying to split apart like a wishbone lol anyhoo  the pic. ( you will see the gap) btw it is sfw:

doing my best to stay off of it as much as possible. absolutely no weight bearing on either accd to doc now :/ out of commission for a couple months if unions are successful. dont want to risk it.  problem is easy to get around on foot if one or the other. but both? times i do have to put pressure on it. now i know why its raging lol. its barely 3 weeks out trying too much waaaaay too soon. the lol moment regarding this soon to be replaced phone. its a 2/3ds scale color gameboy. hence my self imposed title for a week or so. then i revert back. what scares me is if these or perhaps subsequent repairs arent successful i wont ride a gs again. risks are low around 18% for complications . for a diabetic with neuropathy, and circulatory issues its north of 60%. i find out in 2 weeks whats next. :"(

correction i misquoted term for the i dont see it fracture. it is whats known as a "oblique aortic fracture of lateral aspect of distal tibia " i.e. the tib and fib should be joined/touching. not spread apart. swelling is all but gone. except where the fib is spread out, its a tad noticeable. almost afraaid to remove airboot. was fine earlier when i would do this now its omg. something aint right. only been 3 weeks still though. going to try making it through night and see what its like first thing. and go from there. beyond that i should have read into this earlier. my own fault. for not listening to common sense

weird no appetite at all today. maybe ate 3 small prezels ( those tiny ones in a snack back. beyond that  nothin. left leg on fire and right side with plates other than the radom stabbing pain from plates and screws thats it. cold weather is around the corner and im supposed to be recovering. this wont be fun. lol. anyhoo thats the extent of todays drama.  going to wait 12 hours and see if things improve. if not will figure next plan

back down to 132 inweight. course eating nothing since essentially yesterday will do that keeping close eye on this. no appetite to speak of. which is weird for me lol
