Found a way to get some ROM exercises done, i bought for my father a digital download of the kingston trios greatest hits. it predates me by a few decades, but we both like them. anyhoo 42 sogs for 1.59 lol. (individual tracks were 99 cents. the 1.59 comes out of me, the rest of album cost was covered by an amazon gift card from a buying fiasco in sept. album cost was around 5. .sorry im rambling again lol. songs induce toe tapping or if foot is on floor, heel tapping. ( that can be painful lol) btw its gentle tapping ;), so i can follow docs orders. the heel tapping i shouldnt do tho because of the fracture , but  of feet are elevated, im good.

Two things come to mind...

1.) Hot damn that was a long post!

2.) Your going to be even more "fragile" after this so act accordingly. No installing hot water heaters in basements. No moving furniture (like giant loudspeakers), etc...

Keep us posted. :whisper:

Yeah the stakes will be SIGNIFICANTLY higher after this. going to do laundry before the procedure, and try to have 2 weeks of clean clothing on hand. will have to get extra underwear and things like that. 2 weeks will be pushingg it. but i dont want to have to go to basement for AT LEAST 2 weeks. its also why i left option open of staying overnight in hosp. and im basically flat footed now in left foot following fracture. so it will blow following back procedure. a few days after surgery, i then see my ortho. then he does whatever he will do. my neurosurgeon i dont doubt his skill at all. not worried about him. besides risks of paralysis are relatively low. <10%. this though is another reason i chose to spend night there. if its going to happen, it will during the first 24 hours following procedure. (usually from what ive read) plus ill have use of a pain med trigger. to help out once the procedure anesthesia from procedure wears off.

a step by step of the procedure. there are vids of this but i wont post those until i have the chance to see how NSFW they may or may not be. the link describes trial procedure first. implant procedure is further down towards bottom of article.

Reading things like this is what makes me nervous. worst case adverse effect is death. id say paralysis is a close second. we ( neuro and myself) discussed this. i joked if this kills me ill come back and haunt you lol. but im too stubborn to die. so thats off the table Eh?
www.publichealthwatchdog.com/implanted-spine-stimulators-can-lead-to-paralysis/
but incidences of this is 1 in 100 cases. so meh im moving forward. the other adverse effects are a bit more common. up to 30% or so. but are correctable. :)

No intentions of keeling over lol. because id have to haunt the surgeon. ive no experience in that field lom err lmao. once this procedure is completed SUCESSFULLY, Then i get ankle fixed, THEN i can become what i used to be. well as closely as possible anyways lol. the morning of procedure i will post before they secure the tablet, ( in pre op). and will be posting post procedure as well.
btw picked up a pc media remote (rosewill) 2 days ago. it arrived today via cheap shipping. working on figuring it out so i can have everything set up post procedure for recovery. THAT will be BORING for a couple weeks. but stakes being a bit higher, i wont be on my feet hardly.
Aaron.
remote was CHEAP like 7 bux shipped.

Slightly aggrivated, the rosewill remote controls MCE/media playback only it seems. which was the intention. since im on windows 7 64bit (had it for years since i built my old pc quadzilla lol (Oc 3.0 to 3.8 on air) But 7 has MCE built in. why am i aggrivated? i wanted remote to navigate pc menus as well. which if it CAN do that ive not figured it out. and the instructions are as useless as fun bags on a bull lol ( sorry will keep language clean)i rarely read instructions as it is. usually can figure it out quickly. anyhoo, i still have the microsoft presenter 3000 ( for powerpoint) which i was using. it will control EVERYTHING. but lack of controls on it, makes media usage/searches time consuming. and since i dont have a logitech unifying reciever yet, my wireless kb is not  being used. sooooo, i put the usb in place of my 360 controller for now. and am using both. BUT  a bonus of using MCE is its easier to see whats what. i dont have an lcd tv right now. just an older dell flatscreen. and an older tube tv. a tv is next on my list in a few mos. but all in all its good :)
.Getting it set up so its ready once surgeries are complete and recovery begins. got 13 days to  have this done. well 12 til day before. im NOT looking fwd to this yet i am, risks and post op pain makes me nervous, yet gotta be done so i can   rehab myself to be as close as possible before the frctureas started all this. the SCS procedure was being planned before august ankle stuff. ( for the neuropathy) thisw ill keep me going until someone figures out how to reverse the neuropathy damage. ill gladly sign up for that one lol. updates to follow. g    weight declined slightly. and my GP was concerned with the sinus tachycardia ( 130bpmh eart rate..) am on a LOW dose of bp meds for it. even tho bp is normal. she said the benefit outweighs the risks. this med ill have to stop before surgery on 2nd. will find out when exactly tomorrow

On the negative side, ill be an optimist, if it renders my legs unusable, ill have the perfect excuse for the gs trike, plus id no longer feel pain there so pain meds would no longer be needed. BUT i plan on walking out of there, or at least walking to the car from wheelchair,  idk how much longer i have chair rental. i think it stops on 27th, rental isnt that expensive tbh. may just pay it up one more month. idk or try to remember whos been okaying it to my insurance   and get them to call another month in. will see lol

Hmm... There's a lot to digest here.

I'm going to guess that getting some pain relief will help you unwind a little.
Just dont use the reduction of pain as an excuse to over-stress you legs.  :nono:

Man this is a complex situation. <sigh>

This is true my friend very true. the fentanyl epidural they give me like last time (SCS trial procedure) for the first time for several hours i was 100% pain free. and felt 20 years younger lol. had to at the time resist the urge to get out of WC and run. lol. though stakes being a bit higher that wont happen post op. plus ill still be tethered to an iv pole. i selected the afternoon surgery window because of the optional (if needed) overnight stay. if anything adverse happens, i dont have to wait for EMS to run me to hosp. ill be there. BUT overnighter isnt required. its still classified as a daysurgery. if everything is good i can leave that evening. but i figured since im there already, if anything GOD forbid happens, it can be dealt with immediately. im literally down the hallway from the OR. PLUS FOR A FEW HOURS ill have cable tv and wifi lol.
