Nice video!
What a dang maze of corridors, tunnels, ramps, and doors. <wow>
Average speed looks to be faster than walking!

And... So people understand the video, here is a pic of a similar device in use to protect an injured foot...

Ive got wound care tomorrow, followed by my cardiologist. may spend rest of day trying to find a new ortho. or a surgeon willing to perform a voluntary amp. not willing to wait a potential month for a procedure, statistically prone to failure. ffs im at high/ almost extremely high risk for fracture of every bone in body except skull. Dr. Reat-scheissekopf ( i will hack that directory in lobby. i know how to program anything samsung. Reg. the fib ( ill post it tomorrow after leaving WC. ) he says verbatim, " nothing i can do there, youll have to deal with the injury arthritis. mother of all pain, until recently.  my ankle is the diameter of a softball wont fit in an aircast anymore. "today i hear him, " why isnt he wearing his aircast" i  said " sir, if i HAVE to wear that thing," ill end up doing something...... imagine 8 hours of double, no quadruple now fracture pain. no sleep, etc. and you put a damned ace bandage on on it which makes it worse and say " see you in a month." and to think i had nothing but respect for you., ( both he and his colleague dr kahn, havethe bedside manners of adofl hitler, but i can deal with kahns. dec 24, he drains the fluid pocket in my back, with a large needle. but doesnt warn me. i yell and tense up. muscles in back shoot needle out of ccu room into hall. freaks him out. i said warn me next time Eh? lol. ANYHOO, IM GOING to check into finding a new ortho. ( will keep appointment, for now)

Hmmmmm, Since the left ankle has yet to be opened (cept for the wound,) finding another ortho May be easier than i thought. most docs wont like to touch anothers work. ( like most mechs wont work after another) Cool now ive found a legitimate use for hosp. Wifi. 2 places i have to go to today, 1st is behind hosp. 2nd is in front of it. SAFER to go THROUGH hosp. than downhill  using streets. ( especially with my track record lmao)

I made all appts today. IN THE RAIN. :Technical: got out of wc figured i had enough time.. NOPE, 10:15, i called cardiologist, told them id be there ASAP. i took the hill thru hosp lot, got to crest. thought about route. i sat on walkers pad. stuck feet outward. went down hill.speed of a slow jog. after that, a friend took me over to orthos. i offloaded walker, he went back to  pick up his mother. i realised, my phone, tablet, and medical stuff was in his vehicle. well, i HAD to get it. so i hauled backto cardio. got there 30 secs after he did. ( in the rain) got my things and returned to orthos. then wth, i decided to try 2 levels of parking garage.  lvl 1 to LL, the renta cop yelled said hey you cant be doing that, i said feel free to call PD, :)( idiot i swear. lol) later i hit the clown horn in the elevator. ( the renta cops were like wtf?) all in all had fun. Cantwear the aircast, ortho will figure out something.

Got a request. if someone can find a couple things for me. a parts schematic of the knee walker ( roscoe ros ksb )
And the diameter of both the front and rear axles. i cant seem to find them. im trying to find either fully pneumatic or semi pneumatic tires/wheels for it.
This phone seems to time out when i locate them.
Many thanks :)

IM still kickin lol. looking for softer tires for the knee scooter. i go back to ortho on the 10th. yeah same doc i called a "scheissekopf" ( a sh*thead) cursed a french doc in german.  also going to find a quieter horn for it. or a simple back up beeper. this thing will be my source of transportation for a while. if i can find small pneumatic tires, it can go off road in a limited way. allowing me to get out easier.

Lol this works for outside use...
deltacycle.com/airzound/airzound-horn
Seems a ringer would work for inside use. thinking a back up beeper to a 9v battery would work. plans are, that air horn would be strictly outside due to noise. and most of time id be inside a medical facility. and the LAST thing i want to do is cause a heart attack lol.
Might just muffle the clown horn for now. also digging thru bike parts to locate  lights. if im ever out . i know ive got them. also have a phone holster to allow me to vid. the rides. (have to  deal with the vibrations there.)

EJ you dont have to do that my friend. because of that scooter, im able to almost be 100% with the nol weight bearing. still afraid of what ill see on the 10th.. but im able to move alot easier. if i can find my 6mm allen socket, and pneumatic tires, i can go into the grass and actually get out of house. but i am eternally greatful. may cannibalise the currie for its stem and bars. it will allow me to change bars etc. if i do that it will be nearly monochromatic nearly all black. now i need to find a spare gstwin decal. ( got 2 here somewhere) i put one on every project lol.

Eh, what the hell... One last Amazon.com barrage of neat stuff. And then I'm done.
Besides... You've got to master this mono-ped thing whether the foot stays attached or not.

Very much appreciated. am dreading the appointment on the 10th meeting my ex for lunch today. ( we get along quite well) she basically went thru same thing. ended up with a below knee amputation. going to show her the 5 pictures.   showing the progression. im just a layman, but a fusion procedure ive read, bones have to be ground flat before being screwed together. if this is so, this leg could end up an inch shorter. work wont be an option for a long time if ever, but that i can handle. may just go in as a volunteer with the ADA (american diabetes association) im a prime example of what NOT to do.  or what COULD happen. not to scare kids or anything, but talk with those who are ignoring the disease. anyhoo, this surgery scares the hell out of me, BUT ill go to this appointment and question the heck out of him. ive seen xray pics of ankle arthrodesis (fusion) looks like  person  ran thru a hardware store and jumped into a box of screws lol.

Surgery or no surgery, I'm thinking this knee scooter thing may be with you for quite a while, so...
You might as well master the knee-scooter mobility issue.
With enough parts & ideas, you might someday be able to invent a modified device that works better than what is available today.

HAHA think i figured it out. by eyyesight it looks as though axle diameter is around 10mm. will confirm with calipers. if so i found a source of tires and wheels on the electric scooters partshauses. ( pneumatic tires, and for bling factor aluminum wheels) this wont happen for a while yet, going to confirm specs first via hosp. wifi tomorrow. after which, being stingy with funds,  ill find used ones somewhere. ones i found were 30 each for front, 40 each for rear. thats 140 before shipping. i can do better. besides, it can wait. im in a good mood about this. i found a solution.  not much info out there for modding a knee scooeer. courste its not done that often. ( time to set the bechmark lnol

ONly thing i lack now for safetys sake is a single training wheel for the bad leg side. already have wheels for it. may keep eyes open at goodwill. or pick up some 1/8"  thick   steel barstock. and make one. ( setting it up where wheel would be an inch off tarmac.) probably will take it out today for a bit of a distance test. the training wheel/wheelie bar isnt 100% necessary.. but would help with local transitions and angles. loving this thing tho. keeping the hard tired one for household usage.

The idea is to keep one as your daily driver, and use the other one as the experimental unit.
This way your never grounded while waiting for parts.

I'm curious how the steering differs from the indoor model to the outdoor rig?

The radius is the same, more or less. the outdoor one will lift a steering tire if i turn on an incline. so im going to make up a training wheel bracket for the bad leg side. but mount it so its tire is an inch higher than the rear tire. or may make up 2  idk. but bad side for sure. thinking of making up a push cart for it. there are 2 notches at back. so it wouldnt turn me involuntarily. and cannibalise a stand up scooter ( prolly electric so i can use it indoors.. although a geared down gas, would be fun too. HMMMMM if i went that route ive got a mantis mini tiller. geared down enough and self contained . either way i DO have a jet ski fall off switch, if its moving and i bail it kills power. but i want to govern its speed no faster than ja brisk walk. thats a ways off tho. first things first is the single training wheel.
