muffler size

Can anyone advise on a slip-on muffler that will fit an '89 gs500e?  Or does anyone know the size? I'm replacing a huge Vance & Hines and was hoping for something smaller (16") I'm doing this purely for aesthetic reasons, don't really care how much performance or loudness it has.

got a muzzy and midpipe buts around gs sized(length) shes a bit of a loud pig too lol. found it attached to a doa sv650 in a wrecker yard. any bike yards near you? sometimes you stumble across these things. its a bonus when workers dont know what theyve got lol

or see if you can locate a vintage gs spec vance and hines. or a yoshi. those can be difficult to locate. theyre small about the size youre after

Yamahon, is right. A junk yard is a good place to look. Baring that the only small can I can think of is the shorty delkavic. It's what I finally went with because I got tired of looking and didn't want to mail order something that may or may not work.

It's 44 mm ish,
Universal cans on eBay fit, had one of these, sounded good aswell.

or if youre bored source a gsxr wedge can. i had picked one up for i think was 20 shipped minimal fab and she was golden. hanger lined up, and all grabbed a reducer from exhaust shop junk box . just have to remember which pb acct its at.
