Hi guys,
my GFs' gs is having a really wierd electrical problem, and the thing is, that it occurs intermitent, and it doesn't lasts long enough for me to catch it.
The bike can turn over nicely, and run without a hitch for the whole day, but sometimes after its been sitting for a few hours, or for the night it will not start.
This problem never caused the bike to stall, it runs great.
The battery is new, it has juice- the headlight shines brightly and will not go dim when i try to start the bike.
The selinoid does no click, and the starter doesn't even trying to turn.
All the regular suspects were checked (neutral, kill switch, main switch, fuse, side stand switch. The clutch switch was cancled)
When i try to bump start, it will turn over immediately.

What could be the problem? where should i look? what am i missing? it drives me nuts!
Thank you in advance,
Dima.

What do you do to get it to start? If it does absolutely nothing when you hit the starter, I'd still lean towards one of those switches being a little flaky. I'd probably go through and clean all the contacts and connectors, and fit them back with some dielectric grease. Then I'd clean out all the switches and apply dielectric grease there and see if the problem goes away.

+1 I agree with edChen. Or if you have any soldering skills reflow the connections to all of the switches, ambient temperature fluctuations may cause it to connect sometimes and not other times.

Check the integrity of the harness plugs and associated wiring that live directly under the tank.... right above the hot engine!

Thank you guys!
The problem got a lot simpler yesteday, it lost power completely!
The bike have (+) entering the switch, and leaving it, but it geting lost somewhere afterwards, because it not reaching any of the orange wires in the connectors.
I do have soldering skills, and i'm not newb to electrics, so now at least i know where to start :)

Got it!
Under the tank, near the right-hand ignition coil, there is a splice connecting the orange (+) wire from the ignition switch to 4 other (+) wires, it got dirty and heated over time so the wire became hard, and broke.
I cut away the hard part and replaced it, replaced the terminal, and now it works perferct  :D
Thank you all!
