Bike: Stock 2009 GS500F
Rider: pretty light, about 130 lbs with gear
Usage: daily commuting, weekend canyon carving
Others: New BT-45s front & rear, EBC HH pads front & non-HH EBC on rear

Looking to upgrade my suspension. I'm pretty light so I'm thinking the stock rear shock might be best.

Tried to get the calculator to work but it wouldn't work for me. Thinking .75 or .80 Sonic springs for the front.

What I want out of it is reduced dive under braking and just better all around performance. Nothing extreme or track orientated as this is my commuter.

Does this all sound about right?

Probably .75 unless you want to track the bike, then .80. I'm 155 with gear and use a .80 for street riding.
The best rear option would be an R6 with a new spring from Racetech one step lighter then stock.
Not enough can be said about the benefits of the R6 shock, but in stock form it is a bit stiff for you.
I would also strongly recommend Racetech's gold valve cartridge emulators for the front fork, if your at all serious about canyon riding. Or even if there's a lot of pot holes in your city.
