09- GS500F - Right side turn signal works, left nothing. Tried new bulbs...

HI.
Just purchased an 09- GS500F.
My turn signal stopped working in this way

Left Turn nothing, no blinking. no indicator on the dash.
Right side works, blinks and indicator on the dash works.

Is it the relay?

Or is it the switch?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also I am in the south jersey area. Anyone know of a good shop, because i want to add a louder horn, and i'd like to take it to a good shop that knows motorcycle electronics.

Well, it's not the relay because nothing would blink if it was. Has the bike ever been dropped on the left side? I would assume faulty switch.

And installing a new horn is easy. If you take it to ANY shop for that, they'll likely make you pay out the nose....

I would go with the switch too.

To test it follow the lead from the switch back to the multiplug connector behind the headlight. Identify the black, light blue, light green cables.

Flick the switch one way and there should be a circuit between the green and blue, flick the other way and there should be a circuit between the black and blue.

used switch purchased from Ebay arrived yesterday

Installed this morning. 
It was definitely the switch.

I upgraded to a stebel horn also, while i had the fairings off.  Really easy install with the wiring harness they sell on amazon.
Very happy that I don't have the road runner "meep meep"  but more importantly it will help me lay on my horn and stop lane drifting or stop sign creepers when needed.
