Do my connections look correct? 2005 GS500F. Last try with my carb!

If it doesn't work this time (was spitting gas before) I'm taking it to the shop! Cleaned her up perfectly, and re-checked everything. Gonna change the oil as well

Just wondering if the tube connections look correct?

Mainly worried about

Black circle - does anything go on here?

Orange circle - how tight do these have to be? I made them pretty tight

Green circle - tube placement correct? Only one I'm really unsure of

Thanks everyone

Not familiar with the routing of cables on these models, but it looks like the newer carbs get a push/pull throttle. Would be interested in retrofitting that so that I can use a revolver throttle on my race bike.

Well I'm a newb when it comes to these bikes, but I've taken my carbs apart enough times this past weekend to help out a bit.

The Black circle is where you should have a tube that connects from top of the airbox to your nub located at the black circle.  If you're not using the stock airbox then I'm not sure what to do about it then.

The Orange circle referencing the throttle cables - the cables themselves should have a bit of slack, otherwise they won't properly open and close.  You should know if they're slack enough by turn the throttle then letting it go and see if the butterflies fully open and close.

The Green circle looks right but I'm not 100% on that one.

Black is a vent hose that just drapes over the air box to behind it. The other end doesn't connect to anything. It is just a vent hose.

Various views of intact carbs...

Hey guys, sorry for "bumping" up this topic, but I am having a hard time finding an answer to my question:

The hose which connects at the black circle (the vent off the carburetor that hangs over the airbox) is leaking on my 2005 gs500. I just finished cleaning the jets/fuel hoses/gas tank of rust left from the previous owner. Can someone please shed some light on why the vent hose is dumping fuel? I have followed guides/videos/info above to correctly connect all of my hoses, so that is not likely the problem..

Thanks!

Hey it's much better to start a new post and just steal the pictures instead of resurrecting and old post.

Not sure what to tell you about the leaking

Sounds like floats to me (stuck or need adjusting.)
Unless the petcock is on 'prime', then the gas just keeps coming...

Fixed it for you, you make it sound like if it's on prime the needles and floats won't stop the flow of gas, they will if they are working correctly.

Thanks Stevo. I thought if the bike was tipped over it still might leak?
