anyways.. My old google fingers are either not working today, or those two gaskets that sit under the switch just don't exist? I need a part number or something if someones got them.

That or, has anyone found a replacement petcock that doesn't rely on like 1000 gaskets to keep it sealed? its the secondary petcock im talking here, one off the frame.

Recently had my own experience w/a leaking petcock. On my '89 there's only one gasket, called an o-ring (even though its square shaped.) You can get them on BikeBandit.com for about $4/ea. (and while you're at it get a couple of new bolts too.) I also recommend some thread sealant (since the bolt holes go all the way through to the inside of the tank) and if you really want to seal it up try some Pliobond p-612.

Good luck

thanks for trying to help, but its the one off the frame... the one under the tank is different.

I'm going to go ahead and try something on my little GS.. Gonna go grab a used/working Intruder 800 fuel pump. I have an ideal. :thumb:

I'll update as I go as per normal.
