Wiring a Digital Tach help.

Hey there I have a digital lcd tach laying around and I want to put it on my GS500E, it has an Rpm wire coming out of the tach and I know it has to be wired to the ignition cool but I'm not sure which wire? If anyone has hooked one up id appreciate the help, thanks.

I think it doesn't matter which of the coil wires you connect to.  If there is current in the positive wire, there always is current in the negative wire.
