Hello there guys! I need some help with my gs, its a 2007 model and I bought her used, she only has 4000 miles, I don't know much of her history, only that she has been sitting for a long time and that she was dropped. Here's/are the problem/s, (see video). First, when I give her choke she jumps all the way to 4k - 5k rpm, I can get her to stay at around 3,5k but anything lower than that and either she dies or struggles a lot. The second is that when I start her she idles fine but, the moment I give gas she will struggle a lot at staying on, so, when I'm driving and I put first and stop accelerating she will die. Here's what I have done so far: Cleaned the carbs (they were pretty much clean when I took them apart but cleaned them anyways), bought new Spark plugs (the old ones were black at the tip), and cleaned the air filter. I checked a bit for vacuums spraying carb cleaner around the bike but the rpm didn't change. This is my first bike and I don't know much (yet).

Thank you for reading guys!  :)

probably want to look at adjusting the valves initially, have sometimes heard that will cause weird issues.

Black tipped plugs might be an indicator of running rich, you could look at cleaning the air filter if it is very highly dirty. Otherwise I'll be no help, good luck!
I'll have no idea what piece you're referring to unless you include one of the following: Doobly doo, thing-a-ma-jigger, or dibbledy dop.

One side of the carbs is giving more gas then the other. Have you tried adjusting the idle screw underneith the carbs? its a little white-ish plastic cap on a rod right under your carbs.

if your fuel/air adjustment screws are already drilled out, someone has dickens with it.. besides that, you said your carbs where cleaned? manually? Could be the float level is a bit off on one side.

PS: you from Florida?..
