So last year I bought this 07 gs500f with 1000 miles on it which obviously didn't get rode very much had carbs rebuilt and everything just to find out the tank had pinholes in it so I drained tank and finally found a new one to put on it and filled it up put it on prime to push fuel through the lines and put choke on then it wouldn't run without choke so through process of elimination I found out my plugs were fouled still not acting right what are your suggestions? ??? Think it's bad gas ?

Not running right how?  You said you went through a process of elimination, what did you eliminate?

This info can help avoid wasting your time and other's by throwing around random guesses.

I changed plugs tried running on prime to make sure it had enough fuel

Pretty much it won't run without having choke on and idle fluctuates while choke is on

You had mentioned bad gas so I thought I'd share my strange experience with fuel.

Before I put it into storage a few months ago my '07 GS500F always took a while to warm up. By the time I got up a hill to the end of the road it would run okay.  This past Saturday we had nice weather in Southeaster Pennsylvania so I planned to try and start it. I anticipated it not starting since it sat for so long and I didn't tend to the battery while it was out. I loaded up my jumper cables and picked up some starter fluid. To my surprise, with two short bursts of starter fluid it started on the second crank and purred!  I was able to turn down the choke much sooner than usual and scoot up the hill without any problems.

The only thing I did differently before storage was fill with US 89 octane, our middle grade, and treat with Seafoam additive. The only gasoline I had used up to this point was 87 octane.
This Spring I'll switch back to 87 octane to try to figure out if it was the fuel or the additive that helps me out.

I would also recommend taking care of your battery. I turned off my bike for a minute before heading out and when i tried to start it back up got nothing but silence twice before it turned over on the third try (slowly, then again purring to life). Mine is a project bike and I rarely work on it. Best advice is to take your time. Also, if it isn't broken don't try and fix it.

Some punctuation can go a long way.....

But anyways, yeah I'll say bad gas. How long ago were your carbs rebuilt, and what all was involved? I ask because it sounds like your carbs need cleaned out - not just rinsing the sludge from the float bowls either. Replacing jets, making sure all the passages are clean, etc.

I had carbs cleaned and new float bowl seals and needles jets cleaned all new fuel lines all last season...
it sat with out a tank with lines plugged all winter .
put new tank on and filled with what I thought was fresh 89 midgrade but grabbed wrong can 87 instead and it had been sitting in the can for a few months
