Alright. I made a thread beforw and got no response. But ive done some further digging. Ok so at this point ive noticed that the air filter housing is getting gas in it and leaking out the bottom hose. If i had to guess id say its initially coming from the hose that connects directly above it, which seems to run to what i would asume is some sort of emitions module? Im not completely sure. But that component then runs two seperate hoses that connect to the heads right below the exhaust manifolds. My question is a: what is this component and b: why would it leak gas and how do i fix it. Let me also mention that the bike will not stay running but will start. Doesnt seem to leak as much when it is running versus when its not. And will leak as it sits until tank is empty

Sounds to me like your petcock is either broken, the hoses are hooked up wrong, or it's left on "prime". Whatever that problem is, and your float needles aren't cutting off the fuel supply when the floats are full.

Pretty good chance your engine oil is saturated with gasoline - so the oil & filter needs changed before you start the engine aa fine if so.

I dont think anything was hooked up wrong as this just recently started happening and never had an issue before. I know that its not on prime also. But which petcock are you referring to. The one at the gas tank or the main. Neither appear to be broken to me

Referring to the petcock on the frame, it has an internal rubber valve that can fail.

The rubber valve in the petcock is responsible for cutting off fuel to the carbs when the engine is off.  So if fuel is flowing to the carbs while your engine is off that sounds like the frame mounted petcock isn't doing its job.

And like Rich said your oil is likely full of gasoline, you might need an oil change before you run this engine to avoid damage.

Needles and or floats

I agree...I had fuel leaking from the air box drain hose on my GS as well, particularly when the bike was off. It turned out that one of the floats had a small leak which allowed fuel to get inside, preventing it from being able to float and therefore allowing fuel to continue flowing. Clean your carbs and take a look to make sure the needle is seated correctly and the floats are adjusted properly.
